About the Cause

Side by Side Kids (SBSK) is a neighborhood recreational afterschool program in East Austin's St. Johns community. SBSK provides Austin's only free faith-based afterschool program (grades K-5) through a collaboration of 30 partners and 50 volunteers, serving approximately 280 students every week. SBSK serves 6 schools in an area where 96% of families are economically disadvantaged. SBSK's afterschool program has a 99% success rate.
