About the Cause
Grounded in Music is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to inspire under-served children to turn to music as a career, a hobby, or an alternative to the temptations in the street. We accomplish this mission by bringing professional musicians into the Boys and Girls Clubs of East and South Austin to teach lessons in guitar, drums, keyboards and hip-hop songwriting. In addition, we take field trips to meet national acts, and to learn about various aspects of the music business.
